The media for us

"Feng Shui – Why?" was the theme of the August Designer Club, which took place at KICK’s Bar in Sofia. On stage, we welcomed Rositsa Georgieva /Space & Rituals/ – a lecturer and consultant in various techniques for working with space, including Feng Shui, home energy cleansing, and crystal therapy; top designer Ina Damyanova /ID Design/, her colleagues Vladislava Kalinova /Interiors/ and Borislav Gerginov /Tuti Design/, as well as the ladies who entrusted specialists with their homes – Desislava Rancheva /Fashion Inside Club/ and Asya Veselinova /Deco Style A/. For the discussion, we relied on Ganeta Sagova, co-founder and editor-in-chief of one of Bulgaria’s most widely read publications – Magazine 8 – dedicated to those who look at the stars but then roll up their sleeves and strive to make the world a better place to live.

If you search for Feng Shui interior ideas online, you will be overwhelmed by a vast amount of information, which often repeats itself. After the basic information about the ancient Chinese art on Wikipedia, you will find numerous Feng Shui home tips, such as: "How to rearrange your furniture or tweak your interior according to Feng Shui principles," "Easy Feng Shui for Everyone," "Lucky Colors According to Feng Shui," and so on. But… none of them will truly help you. Because there is no universal Feng Shui. Synchronizing energy with space is strictly individual. That is why, whenever someone from the audience asked a personal question, Rositsa Georgieva would smile and reply: "Tell me when you were born?"

Just as there is no universal Feng Shui that works for everyone, there is no universal interior design that appeals to everyone and evokes the same experience. Subjectivity is crucial to the spaces we inhabit – who we are, what we desire, what we like, and what kind of energy we carry.

Beyond individuality, Feng Shui and interior design are also about balance: between a person and their space, between the people living in a home, and between the furniture and objects in the interior, as well as colors, textures, and more.

Feng Shui and interior design should not create conflict in a home. Instead, they should bring peace, good energy, and comfort. To avoid a series of renovations, furniture replacements, unnecessary expenses, wasted time, and fruitless Google searches, trust a specialist. They will ask the right questions that will lead to the answers necessary for good Feng Shui and a well-designed interior.

Rositsa Georgieva:
“We are energy beings. Love, health, and well-being are forms of energy. Feng Shui is the only tool that allows us to manipulate and use external energy so that it works for us.”

For the past 10 years, Rosi has been studying various techniques for working with space: Feng Shui, energy cleansing of the home, and crystal therapy. She is a student of Marie Diamond and Yap Cheng Hai – one of the few grandmasters in the world. Since 2007, she has completed over 600 Feng Shui projects in Bulgaria, Greece, and the USA. She continues to travel, learn, and teach whenever possible. She believes that joy and fulfillment in daily life come from the courage to be devoted, present, and awake in every moment.

Desislava Rancheva shares:
"In my work with Rosi and from our experience over the years, I know that many more great ideas and solutions always emerge, adapting spaces to the principles of Feng Shui, and in this way, we have achieved and continue to achieve exceptional, elegant, and cozy spaces.”

After completing a training course with Rositsa Georgieva, Asya Veselinova applies Feng Shui when choosing colors for different areas within spaces:
"I rely on my long-standing experience in interior design and textiles. In my work, I effectively use the knowledge and skills acquired from my two higher degrees – engineering and organizational psychology."

Borislav Gerginov – Tuti:
"My individual approach and philosophy as a designer, planner, and executor have been built over years of practice and observation of how people feel after I organize their space according to their needs. In this work, I incorporate elements of Feng Shui and the natural laws of the Earth because everything is nature and originates from it. Besides nature, my greatest teachers and sources of inspiration are children!"

Interior designer Vladislava Kalinova develops and implements projects for private and public interiors, offering clients creative solutions in interior design. If Feng Shui is involved, she consults with a specialist.

For the realization of an interior project based on Feng Shui in the first private apartment, "Art Living Space", Ina Damyanova shares that it was a real challenge for her and a transformation of her own understanding. Initially skeptical due to the conflict between the Feng Shui consultant's recommendations and her own stylistic approach, she found herself in a new search for spatial logic, subordinated to the art of Feng Shui.

"It was not easy at all," she admits.

And in this search, Ina discovered something more. After her initial disagreement with the presence of mirrors in the interior, the designer integrated them in the form of walls, and eventually, these mirrored walls became a part of her style in interior projects.

Feng Shui and interior design intersect at the point where the investor’s genuine desire to create harmonious spaces meets the profound trust shared between the client, the designer, and the Feng Shui consultant. It is within this trust that the conceptual vision is born, one that is not only unique but also deeply attuned to the personal energy of the individual. Such a design must respect the principles of Feng Shui, blending functionality and beauty in a way that enhances both the aesthetic and energetic qualities of the space.

The importance of working with skilled craftsmen cannot be overstated, for the collaboration between a good consultant and proficient tradespeople ensures that the vision is realized as intended. If you are fortunate enough to experience such a partnership, the end result often surpasses your original expectations, bringing your initial ideas to life in unexpected and beautiful ways.

As you ponder the relevance of Feng Shui in your life, it is worth asking: does this ancient practice resonate with your sense of balance and harmony? Does it feel like a natural extension of the spaces you inhabit, shaping not only your surroundings but also your well-being? The choice is ultimately yours. Should you decide to explore how Feng Shui can transform your environment and life, it will be the guidance of a skilled consultant, paired with thoughtful interior design, that will guide you through this transformative journey.
